Glasgow Engineering have had a strong involvement with the marine and fishing industry in Tasmania since 1892, originally designing and manufacturing our own marine steam engines, by 1911 Glasgow Engineering had become the Tasmanian distributor for Gardner oil engines. L. Gardner and Sons Ltd was a well-known British builder of diesel engines for stationary, marine, road and rail applications. By 1962 Glasgow Engineering were also selling the famous Lister engines both these engines were renowned for their reliability amongst the fishing fleet in Tasmania. Today we continue to offer only premium brands such as Doosan and Nanni to the Tasmanian market, with the harsh conditions around the Tasmanian coast our customers demand reliability and longevity.
